The Student Organizations Coordinating Council, also known as the UST SOCC, is the central body of all recognized University-wide and College-based organizations of the University of Santo Tomas. Cultural in nature, it aims to promote student involvement and active participation through events and activities that cater to the student's needs.

It aspires to represent each organization by uniting and supporting all student-centered activities and consistently extending assistance to the needs of its components. With dedication to the University's 3 C's: Compassion, Competence and Commitment, the SOCC tries its best to cater to all the extracurricular as well as co-curricular interests of the students by providing avenues that help develop their personalities, talents and skills, with the aid of various student organizations and academic societies with which they are affiliated.

The SOCC envisions itself to be a potent instrument for the continuous development and innovation of students in view of the consistent demands of an ever changing academic environment and society. The SOCC's mission is to promote genuine student involvement, create a healthy as well as supportive relationship among organizations in the University, and encourage substantial participation from students through different programs and activities that would ensure their growth and development as Thomasians.

The Students Welfare and Development Board Director shall be the ex-officio adviser of SOCC, unless otherwise appointed by the Assistant to the Rector for Student Affairs.

The Big 4
The BIG 4 are the four major projects of the Student Organizations Coordinating Council.

Makibata
:The community development of Student Organizations Coordinating Council.

Himig Tomasino
:Himig Tomasino perhaps is one of the many testimonials of the Thomasians' love, passion and well-known excellence for Music and the Performing Arts. This annual Intercollegiate Chorale Competition, organized by the UST-SOCC, is participated by the official chorales representing the different colleges and faculties. The event is usually held in the UST Medicine Auditorium but recently, it took place in the Life Auditorium; first time it was held outside the campus. Prior to the year 2006, a solo-category singing contest was also part of this annual event.

:During the competition, each chorale is set to perform the contest piece, arranged by the conductor of the world-renowned UST Singers, Prof. Fidel G. Calalang, Jr. and another song piece of their own choice. Aside from the Champion and 1st and 2nd Runners-up, special awards such as "Best in Costume", "Best Conductor" and "Best Interpretation of the Contest Piece" are also decided by the judges while the "People's Choice" is awarded to the participating chorale with the most no. of SMS votes or "Likes" from Facebook.

:The event is always graced by a performance from the UST Singers and various other music-oriented groups from the University. In spite of the competition amongst the college chorales, it has been a tradition that a theme song collaboration, from representatives of each chorale, is presented prior to the announcement of the winners.

:Below is a tabulation of the past winners from 2003-2012 and participating chorales.
