Urnex Brands, Inc. is a manufacturer of specialty cleaning products for coffee and espresso equipment. Founded in 1936, Urnex's portfolio of powders, liquids, and tablets is distributed in over 50 countries around the world.
Urnex Brand products are non-toxic, safe, and include products that are both NSF International and OMRI (Organics Material Review Institute) certified.
In 2005, Urnex Brands Inc. acquired Puro Caff Espresso Machine Cleaning products and formed the operating division—Puro Caff Group.
History
Established in Manhattan, the company's original focus was the manufacture of cloth coffee filters until there was a need for a user-friendly product that could clean coffee urns and decanters. Recognizing that “the build-up of coffee oils on brewing surfaces can make even freshly brewed coffee taste bitter”, the company launched Urnex (for the coffee urns the product cleaned) Urn & Brewer Cleaner. The products initial motto “No More Bitter Coffee” and the name Urnex has stuck with the company since its inception.

Factory
Urnex’s production facility is currently located in Yonkers, NY. Urnex also has warehouses in Rotterdam and Hong Kong.
