Universe of Beast Quest

This is a the universe of the Beast Quest series of novels.

Main characters

• Tom is a twelve year old boy who is chosen to complete all the Beast Quests. He lives in Errinel where there is not much to do until he goes to the king's palace seeking help. Tom does his Beast Quest in honour of his anonymous father, during the quest it is quite obvious Tom follows in his footsteps. In his first Beast Quest Tom's goal is to free the six beasts of Avantia. In the second series Tom has to collect the pieces of the Golden Armour that Malvel has stolen. Tom goes on the quest to destroy the monsters and get back the most precious relic of Avantia. In series three Tom must save the six beasts of Avantia so they can protect Avantia, however Malvel has created six new evil beasts, that Tom will have to destroy. In Vedra and Krimon Tom must transport the two twin dragons Vedra & Krimon to Rion where they can Be Safe from Malvels evil clutches. And finally in Spiros the ghost pheonix Malvel has kidnapped Tom's Uncle and Aunt.

• Elenna is a girl who joins Tom on the Beast Quest. She is very independent and is helpful at times. She lost her parents in a fire and ecaped home from her aggressive uncle.

• Storm is Tom's reliable jet black stallion. He is useful if you want to make a good escape or to travel. Storm is compulsory on the Quest.

• Silver is Elenna's pet wolf. He is very swift and is reliable with his great sense of smell.

• Aduro is a good wizard residing in the palace of King Hugo, he is able to tell Tom and Elenna all their important quests and what to do save the land of Avantia.

Villains

• Malvel is an evil wizard who enslaved the six good beasts of Avantia and created six evil beasts to guard one of the six pieces of the Golden Armour. Malvel also created another six beasts who captured the six good beasts of Avantia. When Tom's father went on a quest he stole the information he had, and that is how he conqoured the good beasts.

• Seth is Malvels servant. In the quest to save Vedra and Krimon twin beasts of Avantia Seth delays the quest with his deadly tricks. In Beast Quest:The Dark Realm, Sting the scorpion-man, Malvel punishes Seth for his failure to defeat Tom and Elenna, and so turns him into Sting the scorpion-man.

• Setherina is quite obviously Seth's older sister. She distrupts Tom's quest to rescue his Aunt and uncle in Beast Quest: Spiros the ghost-pheonix, and is let go to escape after a deal she and Tom made.

Speacial Characters

• Taladon The Swift is Tom's anonymous father who disappeared just when Tom was a baby. One night he had a dream that one day the six beasts of avantia will be troubled. So he took up his own quest to find out more AbOUT the beast. But since then he never returned. It is rumoured that in series four of Beast Quest Tom has to rescue his father who has turned into a ghost, by collecting the pieces of the Avantian amulet.

• Uncle Henry is Tom's uncle. Uncle Henry decided to take Tom in after Taladon left Tom to Uncle Henry's care. He is a good blacksmith and will do anything he can to support Tom in the Beast Quest.

• Aunt Maria is Uncle Henry's wife. She is very helpful and supportive. She will give up everything to protect Tom.

• King Hugo is the king of Avantia. He makes sure the kingdom is under good management and tries to make the villagers feel as safe and happy as they can. He also relies on Tom protecting the kingdom.

Villagers

• Cook is the lead role for preparing the palace's food.

• Calum lives in the west of Avantia where the shores are. His family (father, and sister)go out in their boats which are being limited since Sepron keeps smashing them anytime they are in the sea. The reason they fish is to make sure the village stays plentiful, and Avantia stays plentiful. In series one, Calum's village cannot fish because Sepron is also [...] or scaring away the fish.

• Jack and his family (father) and the rest of the villagers live in the north part of Avantia. Jack helps his fellow villagers trade around Avantia seeing that the northern part of Avantia

has a lot of goods. In series one Jack has problems trading because Arcta keeps sending landslides and delaying or stopping the traders from trading.

• Victor and his father, Adam and the villagers live in the centre of Avantia in the grassy plains, which is good for raising cattle. In series one where there's a big cattle drive to some villages for trade, and Tagus keeps scaring the cattle away delaying the trade which will cause hunger to Avantia.

• Albin is a young boy who loves playing soccer and lives in the north of Avantia, a bit far away from where Nanook lives.The village inhabitants are called the Nomads. Where Albin lives is a very good place to grow plants that create medicine,to protect Avantia from illness, and Nanook is destroying them.

• Brendan lives with the Nomad clan. As he travels along the Icy Plains he bumps into Tom and Elenna and lends them his sleigh.

• Owen is the son of Raymond. One time he was travelling through the caves near his village and found Epos. And just when Epos was going to attack, Owen escapes and so happens to find a piece of Taladon's armour. Later he gives it to Tom. In his area of Avantia Epos is living in a volcano and might blow up Avantia, seeing she is igniting the volcano with heat. The reason Owen's village lives near the volcano is because the soil near the volcano is good for growing crops.

• Raymond is Owen's father. He is the head of the village and makes sure everyone is safe. He rescued Tom after he was attacked by Epos, and also trusted Tom with him and the villagers lives, when he guided them through the cave.

• Lindon is a fisher who is very cocky, selfish, and obnoxious. He is very testy, and give Tom a boat to see if he can survive the whirl pools Zepha is creating.

• Farmer Gretlin does his farming in the village of Errinel. One time, when he was using his oxen to improve the soil, Soltra the stone-charmer looked at him, and so turning Farmer Gretlin and his oxen were turned to stone. This feature is very similar to the gorgon Medusa. Later Farmer Gretlin is released from his stone-case by Tom, and so are his oxen.

• There is a woman in Vipero the snake-man who leads Tom, Elenna and the animals away from the blistering heat of the desert. They enter a small room that is packed with people, with very little water, and fear of disease. Her name is unknown. She has a son who is very sick but is healed when Tom trades Aunt Maria's herbs, for water to survive in the desert when facing Vipero.

• Etta and her friend Dorina travel to the mouth of a cave on a rocky mountain. Etta is there because she is finding what her father says are the best crystals in Avantia. As she looks for these crystals, she is unfortunaely captured by Arachnid, but is later rescued by Tom and Elenna.

• Dorina is Etta's best friend and she goes to the mouth of a cave with Etta. When she discovers the reason Etta hadn't returned for a long period of time she is very upset. Tom and Elenna find her grieving for Etta's loss. She then allows the two companions to stay in her home. Just when Tom and Elenna sneak out she caught them but then allowed them to go find Arachnid.

• Hector is a villager in the land of Gorgonia. One day in the woods, he stayed out late and the rule in Gorgonia is to not stay out at night. Hector is chased by Torgor and witnesses the deaths of two Gorgonian Rebels.

• Gorgonian Rebels are a group of people who will defy Malvel, and try to reclaim Gorgonia. Because Malvel's power is too much for them all they can do is foil one of his minor plans.

• Gorgonians are the twisted natives of Gorgonia. Once good villagers, turned evil by Malvel's magic.

• Hallam was a Gorgonian Rebel travelling through a jungle when a snake coiled around him leading him to fall off a very steep hill. Afterwards he wakes up finding himself in Skor's territory and is attacked. Probably dead.

• Odora is a Gorgonian Rebel who travels on the sea trading weapons which is forbidden by Malvel. Afterwards Narga destroys their boat and kills her brother, Dako. Later she is found with Elenna, while Gorgonians throw stones at each of them. Shortly after a close escape, Odora insists on helping Tom, and Elenna but is told to go back to the Gorgonian Rebel camp. They meet Odora again, in her camp, and help them to defeat Tusk.

• Marco is a Gorgonian Rebel who keeps look out for his camp. he spots Tusk just before he rams through the camp, and is able to save everyone.
