Sebastian Ortega was responsible for fiction at IDeaS del Sur from 2003 to 2005 and created highly successful shows such as Los Roldan, Costumbres Argentinas, Tumberos, Criminal among others.

In 2006, he created his own production company, Underground. The first project was the telenovela El Tiempo no Para for America Television which dealt with themes like gay relationships, HIV and poverty with graphic scenes and language. The program won several awards, including a Martin Fierro for Best Fiction. He also created sitcom Amo de Casa for Canal 9.

In 2007, in association with Dori Media, he created Lalola for America Television. The soap also won several awards (including two Martin Fierro for Best Fiction and Best Actress) and was a huge international success, being sold for over 70 countries.

In 2008 he started producing for Argentina's most watched station, Telefe. In association with Telefe Contenidos and Endemol, he created and produced Los Exitosos Pell, currently on air and already sold to over 40 countries worldwide.

The company is currently in production for Un Año Para Recordar, a new daily fiction show for primetime in Telefe, which will replace Los Pell.

Underground also produces documentaries and movies.
