ukpower.co.uk is a gas and electricity price comparison website based in the United Kingdom. The site allows home and business consumers to compare all available tariffs. Set up in 2001, ukpower is at the forefront of price comparison services, maintaining its Consumer Focus accredited status.
Business model
ukpower.co.uk is free to use for both home and business consumers. ukpower.co.uk instead receives a commission from some suppliers when a customer switches through the ukpower website.
Energywatch and the Consumer Focus Confidence Code
ukpower.co.uk was one of the first price comparison websites to be accredited by energywatch, the government’s energy watchdog. ukpower has always maintained its accredited status and worked with energywatch to establish the Energywatch Confidence Code which also later became known as the Consumer Focus Confidence Code. This is a voluntary code of practice for price comparison websites which ensures that ukpower is
