Twincling
TwinCLinG is a Linux User Group and is the Hyderabad Chapter of the India Linux User Group community 1. Hence it is also known as ILUG-HYD. ILUG-HYD is a free group and membership is open to all with no charge.
The group regularly holds meetings to discuss Free and Open Source Software. Meetings are usually organized once a month and announced on the mailing-list.2, as well as on the web site of the group 3.
The first meeting of TwinCLinG was held on the 24th of April, 1999, attended by AbOUT 30 members. Today, the mailing list has nearly 1300 members.
The group has been instrumental in popularizing Linux in Hyderabad through various efforts such as install fests, invited lectures etc. The group was also featured on a Telugu TV channel, TV9.
