Trivone CREATES and manages editorial content that millions of people watch and interact with every day on the web, mobile and social media platforms. Trivone also manages digital assets of enterprise clients by setting up dedicated teams that builds compelling online content and engage with their target audience through social media. Trivone aggregates content from disparate sources both internationally and locally manages them to ensure that it stays relevant to the audience.
Funding
In December 2011, the Bangalore-based company has raised an undisclosed amount in a series A round of funding from Accel Partners. The proceeds are reported to be used to meet the working capital requirements and also to push growth through the inorganic route in the months ahead.
Accquisitions
Trivone has acquired the leading Indian technology portals Techtree, CXO Today and Channel Times from UTV New Media Ltd. In a press release statement issued, Trivone intends to revamp the design and content of these brands and enable it for online platforms, mobiles and other emerging devices.
On July 25, 2012, Trivone launched Khelnama.com - an online sports community that provides news, views and insights across multiple sporting activities. Khelnama.com will expand the canvas of sports coverage to include disciplines such as Football, Hockey, Tennis and Golf, besides international sporting events such as the Olympics.
On October 18, 2012, Trivone has re-launched WheelsUnplugged.com, with a new contemporary design. The redesigned Wheelsunplugged.com will leverage social websites to bring India’s largest community of automobile lovers, users, experts and manufacturers on one platform.
Recent acquisitions also include the entertainment portal ChakPak.com; Trivone is said to invest in the brand and position it as a leading entertainment destination for South Indian movies.
