Top 10 Women Perform (AI5)

On February 28, 2006, one week after the top ten semi-finalists were revealed, the top twelve women performed live on the fifth season of American Idol.

Katharine McPhee performed "All In Love Is Fair" (Stevie Wonder). The judges stated that they thought this performance fell victim to poor song choice, but Paula Abdul thought that she was "still a star."

Kinnik Sky performed "Here For The Party" (Gretchen Wilson).

Lisa Tucker performed "Who's Loving You" (Jackson 5). The judges agreed she has a great voice, but weren't fans of the song.

Heather Cox performed "Hero" (Mariah Carey).

Brenna Gethers performed "Last Dance" (Donna Summers).

Paris Bennett performed "Wind Beneath My Wings" (Bette Midler). (! That's weird!)

Ayla Brown performed "I Want You To Need Me" (Celine Dion). Abdul said that she could tell Brown wanted this. She said that she thought she had improved from last week, and was pleased that she came out with conviction. Jackson said that she picked a good song and that he "actually liked it". Cowell said it was good, and that he was impressed with her work ethic but also said that it was "still a bit mechanical".

Kellie Pickler performed "Something To Talk AbOUT" (Bonnie Raitt). The judges were complimentary and felt it was an improvement over the previous week.

Mandisa performed "Cry" (Faith Hill). The judges felt she shined on a rather lackluster night.
