To Say I Love You

"To Say I Love You" is the second serial in the first series of the British crime drama series Cracker. It was first broadcast in three parts, from the 11 October to 25 October 1993 on ITV. All three parts of the serial were written by the series' principal writer, Jimmy McGovern, and directed by Andy Wilson.

This serial follows Fitz's attempts to unmask Sean Kerrigan (Andrew Tiernan) and Tina Brien (Susan Lynch), the perpetrators of a crime spree that reaches into DCI Billborough's homicide unit. Meanwhile, Fitz's relationship with his wife, Judith (Barbara Flynn) continues to deteriorate as his attraction to Jane Penhaligon (Geraldine Somerville) grows.

Plot

Sean Kerrigan (Andrew Tiernan), a young and lonely man with a stutter, meets Tina Brien (Susan Lynch), a disaffected young woman, at a karaoke competition. Bonding quickly due to their shared outsider status, The Two begin a [...] relationship and a criminal partnership. Kerrigan and Brien become known to police after impulsively taking control of a city bus, but their crimes escalate to [...] after they confront and kill a local loan shark. Fitz investigates the crimes and works with DCI Billborough's police unit to unmask the perpetrators.
