Three Ring Records

Three Ring Records is an independent record label based out of the San Francisco/Bay Area in northern California. Started in 2003 by Dan Crowell of the band D.W. Holiday, Three Ring saw its first release that same year with the Bother's The Night Bleeds Gold. This album was mastered by recording engineer Chris Cline whose work has ranged from ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead to more obscure bands like Deadwood Forest. Shortly thereafter Chris joined Three Ring as a partner and he and Dan have continued to release albums at an alarming rate.

In 2007 Three Ring Records was awarded "Best Local Label" by the readers of the San Francisco Bay Guardian, an award that truly reflects the impact this label has had on the music community. To date Three Ring has charted a number of its releases on the College Music Journal and has also released a benefit compilation to help homeless youth in San Francisco.

2008 and Beyond

In 2008, Three Ring Records played a part in the Bay Area Takeover, an organization dedicated to promote the Bay Area independent music scene at industry festivals. This year also saw the addition of two new record labels to its roster: 500 Records and Snowstorm Records. The beginning of 2009 saw the addition of Mission Freak Records to the Three Ring family thus adding to its growing roster.
