Career

Art of the People

Art of the People consists of actions where Hanscomb has hung framed open-faced sandwiches on museums such as the Statens Museum for Kunst, ARoS and Trapholt.

Just Bricks

In 2021, Hanscomb co-founded the NFT project Just Bricks together with Ivan Petrus and Emil Bjørn. The project consisted of 500 pixelated images of bricks, issued as NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. The project was covered in media outlets, including Zetland.

Pink Border

In 2024, Hanscomb took part in the project Pink Border, created in collaboration with Marco Evaristti and Ivan Petrus. The work consisted of a toilet made of pink bricks, placed near the wall between Israel and Palestine. It was later shown at the Folkemødet on Bornholm and the Kulturmødet on Mors.

Style and themes

Hanscomb works at the intersection of conceptual art and performance art, often with unannounced interventions in institutional settings. His works deal with how context and narrative can give everyday objects the status of art. Documentation on social media is an integrated part of his practice.
