THG Paris, named after its founders André Tetard, Julien Haudiquez and Alexandre Grisoni, is a manufacturer of luxurious bathroom fittings and accessories. The company is based in Béthencourt-sur-Mer, which is situated in the Picardie region (northern France).

History

In 1950 André Tetard and his brother-in-law Julien Haudiquez (both tool makers) founded ‘Robinetterie de la Poste’, a workshop which produced fittings for bathrooms and kitchens. As a result of their growing success, the company decided to move to a larger location in the Béthencourt-sur-Mer area in 1956 and to bring Alexandre Grisoni on board as a sales partner. The company was named THG after its three owners (Tetard – Haudiquez – Grisoni). In the nineties, Laurence Gosse, daughter of André Tetard, and her husband Michel Gosse, took over the shares of the company owned by her father’s two business partners.

In light of stiff competition, particularly from Italy and Germany, Gosse decided to throw his weight behind the company’s huge artisan potential and revamped the business, switching to the production of luxury goods. Through collaborations with well-known designers and partnerships with famous luxury brand names, such as Lalique, it wasn’t long before the fittings produced by THG Paris became famous worldwide. Today (2011) THG operates subsidiaries in Germany, the US, Russia and the People’s Republic of China as well as a THG showroom Paris.

Environmental protection and sustainability

With environmental protection and sustainability as its focal point, THG decided to start investing in recycling plants and the use of renewable energies in 2002. THG pledged to develop an eco-friendly manufacturing process and to work towards the preservation of natural resources at its plant in Béthencourt-sur-Mer.

Products

THG mainly manufactures bathroom fittings for the luxury market segment. It also produces showers and other bathroom accessories, as well as kitchen fittings – all designed to meet the highest standards. There are over 100 collections covering a wide range of styles. THG fittings can also be custom made. Craftsmanship is at the heart of THG’s work and plays a major role at every stage in the manufacturing process. 200 of the company’s 230 current staff members work in production, covering a total of 10 different professions. The company produces an internationally unique selection of 40 different alloy coatings (chrome, gold, nickel, etc.).
