Theo Schear
Theo Anthony Schear (born October 11, 1991) is an American director and photographer. He was born and raised in Oakland, CA and received a BA in Screen Arts & Cultures from The University of Michigan. Schear is best known for his film Open Letter, a short found footage documentary expressing the response of the hip-hop community to Frank Ocean's open letter. The film received an award for Best Documentary at the 2013 Toronto Student Film Festival . He currently lives in Ann Arbor, MI and works for Detroit Public TV.
