Theatre Modo
Theatre Modo was formed in 1995. Since then it has developed and extended its passion for creating accessible EXCITING work that engages audiences wherever they can be found using workshops and performances.
The company has been based in Glasgow for 7 years and has developed strong connections with many youth and community groups especially in the Govan area. They continue to maintain and develop connections throughout Scotland, in the Highlands, in Aberdeenshire and Dumfries and Galloway, as well as keeping close links with our European partners.

An adaptation of Marlowe's great tragedy re-examines the ancient story of Dido and her tragic love for the exile Aeneas. Distilled to a two hander, it concentrates on the love between these two exiles in their struggle to find a future. Brought together by fate, and torn apart by destiny, the show explores how people can run their lives amongst the ruins of war.
The show premiered at European Theatre Festival in Grenoble in 2002 before touring France, Italy, Scotland and Germany (2002 -2004)
Dr Faustus 1996
Winner of a Scotsman Fringe First and Guardian Critics' Choice.
On his final night on earth Faustus serves up a sumptuous feast, accompanied by a cabaret presented by Mephistopheles and his demonic troupe. An innovative banquet production serving the audience a full meal as part of the show.
The Snow Queen 2005
An interactive production of The Snow Queen using story telling, music and a giant puppet to create an enchanting and exciting performance that captures the spirit and power of this age-old fairytale. The show toured theatres and schools throughout Scotland in Autumn 2005.
Don Quijote 2006
An entrancing retelling of Don Quixote, following his delusions and daring dreams. A magical, innovative, modern remaking to charm and inspire young and contemporary audiences.
