The band formed in 2012 in Duluth, MN. In 2014, they relocated to Portland, OR to pursue their music career full-time. The EP includes a collection of songs from the early years of the formation of the band. In late 2016 and early 2017, they began recording their debut album with notable engineer Paul Kolderie (Radiohead, Pixies) in a combination of studios, including Modest Mouse's Ice Cream Party Studios, where they were aided by Steve Berlin (Los Lobos, Deer Tick), and Chris Carabba's Deep Deep South . Recent Events
The band spent much of 2016-2017 playing a string of festivals including Firefly Music Festival, Summerfest, and others. They began their summer of 2017 by touring extensively throughout the United States with notable acts The All-American Rejects and Dashboard Confessional. In early November 2017, they celebrated the release of their debut single Cheer Up Charlie. The song debuted on Substream Magazine on 3 November 2017. Substream's Joel Funk writes, "The music is pulsing and infectious and works in perfect juxtaposition with the hyper-personal nature of the lyrics and the cynical, sarcastic feeling of the vocal delivery". Clark goes on to comment on the origin on the song: "This is as raw and personal as I get. I recorded the vocal in a HaZe into an iPad in one go before I really knew the lyrics. Feels a little like looking through your texts after a long night of drinking; You can delete them, but the other person still has them".
