The Ravyns (album)

The Ravyns, released in 1984, was the first full-length album recorded by Baltimore, Maryland rock band The Ravyns. It was released on MCA records and featured a re-recorded version of "Raised on the Radio," which had previously appeared on the soundtrack to the film Fast Times at Ridgemont High. "Don't Leave Me This Way" was also released as a single. Music videos were produced for "Raised on the Radio," "Don't Leave Me This Way," and "Rhythm of the Heart." Shortly after the release of this album, The Ravyns were dropped by MCA and broke up.

The 2004 compact disc re-release of The Ravyns on Ryf Records includes two bonus tracks, "Give Me One Chance" and "Love or [...]," which were recorded in the 1980s but not originally released.

In 2011, "Raised on the Radio" was covered by indie band Leckerphonics on their EP Unoriginals.
