The Packinghouse Christian Fellowship

The Packinghouse Christian Fellowship is a Christian church located in Redlands, California. It was established in 1940. The fellowship also includes a Christian school called Packinghouse Christian Academy. The church's former name was Calvary Chapel Redlands.

The Church

The pastor of the church is Ed Rea. The vision at The Packinghouse Christian Fellowship is "Knowing God And Making Him Known." While being heavily evangelistic, Ed Rea preaches one Saturday evening and three Sunday morning services at 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 a.m., also a Wednesday and Monday night service. At the beginning of each service, the Packinghouse Worship Band a Christian Rock Band performs well known Christian rock songs. Every week the Packinghouse invites a known Christian artist. They have already had Newsboys, Sonic Flood, Phil Keaggy,etc.. Each service is located on the church website on a webcast. It is either live or archived.

Faculties

In 2005, the church decided to start a new building plan on the same property, the church property is now 18 acres. The new building's facilities include a Coffee Store, a Cafe, and a Bookstore. It also has sanctuary with movie theater seats inside with a large balcony cabable of seating 3,000 people, overpassing Harvest Christian Fellowship. The sanctuary includes two large monitors and a fully equipped stage with full surround sound throughout the entire church. The fellowship also has an amphitheater outside where Christian music groups can play. Harvest Pastor Greg Laurie was a spokesperson for the dedication of the new building. At the old builing, it is used for the Packinghouse Christian Academy.

Packinghouse Christian Academy

Packinghouse Christian Academy (formerly Calvary Chapel Christian School) is located in Redlands, California at 27165 San Bernardino Avenue. It is located in a former Redlands Citrus Packinghouse, which is how the school got its name. The school is also adjacent to the Packinghouse Christian Fellowship. The school's acting principal is Paul Verhoven. The school includes kindergarten through twelfth grade. The school's mascot is the platypus and their colors are red, gray, and white. The school has a positive group of teachers that loves kids. School starts at 8:20 a.m. and ends at 2:55 p.m. 5th Grade student won regional writing competition 2009.
