History

The Omerta formed in 2002 when friends Joey Ariemma and Steve Eler set out to create a band that combined all of the elements of music that contemporary music lacks. After an INCredible audition by Tommy Kooser (Bass Guitar) in 2005, they knew he was the right player for the band. For the next six months to a year, they were bouncing back and forth between drummers. Omerta's EPitome lineup was complete with the addition of Ben Scott.

The band practiced consistently through high school and concluded their senior year with their debut album, EPitome. EPitome was recorded at Cleveland, Ohio's Closer Look Studios by Tyler Owen. The whole album was recorded live and in one take, which gives it a very organic feel. The album was tracked on a 48-channel Neve 8108 console, mixed on an industry-standard SSL console, and mastered by the incredible F.C. Bester. It will be released independently through Joey Ariemma's Rocket Dog Records.
