The Odyssey is a weekly publication that serves as a communication tool to Greeks on campus. Each EDition is relevant to its specific campus, and stories directly relate to its readers in that particular Greek Community. The paper is edited, designed, and laid out in office, in Indianapolis, Indiana. It is then distributed to printers that ship out copies to each campus, and are then delivered to each Fraternity and Sorority. Within each unique publication there is a publisher and sales team, as well as a writing staff whom are all Greek. The publication will be operating at a total of 45 locations coast-to-coast with an audience of over 300,000 students every week during the academic year.
Despite struggles within Print Media in the past few years, The Odyssey has seen significant revenue growth producing over 400 unique issues and over 5,000 articles since the first issue 20 months ago. Why is it called The Odyssey? An Odyssey is a long and eventful or adventurous journey. Not only was the publication named for its Greek reference, it was named for the true meaning of the word. Greeks begin their odyssey by beginning to make their own choices such as: where they go to school, what chapter they join, and what careers they pursue.
