The News Mill

The News Mill is an Indian digital news organization based in Guwahati, Assam. It was founded by Jayanta Deka in 2015. Apart from Assam, the news organization covers Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Sikkim.

History

In December 2015, the news organization began operating from Guwahati covering the entire Northeast India. The digital news organization is incorporated as Heynortheast Media Private Limited.

Controversy

The digital news company reported the Assam Tourism logo change story which led to sharp criticism of the department.

The News Mill also covered the story of non-coverage of floods in Assam by The INDIAN Media in a detailed report. The detailed study report was republished by Youth Ki Awaaz on its website.
