The Monster Scholarship Program

}}

The Monster Scholarship Program is a project initiated by Monster Radio RX93.1, an FM Radio Station in Manila, Philippines. The scholarship provides assistance for one semester and does not require a student to maintain a certain average.

History

This project began in September 2009. It started as a small effort by Monster Radio RX93.1's Vice-President for Operations & Programming, Raffy Barreiro, to help college students in dire need of assistance.

What started as a company initiative took an unexpected turn. Friends, listeners, and even advertisers of the station offered a lending hand. To date, The Monster Scholarship Program has helped 123 students, and has produced several graduates. Even colleges & universities have encouraged their students to seek assistance from the program.
