The Lazarus Plot
The Lazarus Plot is a four-piece indie pop band from the border of Surrey and South London.
The band's sound and style can be linked to its influences who include The Divine Comedy, Massive Attack and Duran Duran.
In September 2006 the band supported The Bluetones and Lorraine at the Darvel Music Festival in Scotland and also appeared at the Stroud Fringe Festival.
The band has been featured in national newspaper The Sun and London Metro, plus a range of other media including Play, Overplay, Record Scout and selected regional newspapers.
In February 2007, The Lazarus Plot won a radio competition on BBC Southern Counties which features new bands from the South East of England.
Band members are Daniel Batchelor, John Gale, Chris Clapton and Russell Peace.
The band's debut single Doesn't Change a Thing was released on independent record label Illuminated Music on June 18th 2007. The follow-up entitled 'Always The Same' was released November 12th 2007, also on Illuminated Music. The band recently headlined a sell-out gig at Oxford Street's Metro Club on Friday 19th October and are working on their third single, to be released in the first quarter of 2008.
