The Last Bastion Station Trust, LLC

The Last Bastion Station Trust, LLC is a newly formed privately-owned trust company that now owns 11 radio stations previously owned by Citadel Broadcasting. Citadel has absorbed several ABC Radio stations on June 12, 2007, making Citadel Broadcasting the 3rd largest radio company in the United States. However, in order to comply with the FCC ownership limitations, Citadel sold off the following radio stations.

Stations

  • KBZU Albuquerque, NM
  • WCLZ Brunswick, ME (sale to Saga Communications pending)
  • WCYI Lewiston, ME
  • WYLZ Pinconning, MI
  • KNEK Washington, LA
  • WMGL Ravanel, SC
  • KVLO Humnoke, AR
  • KPZK-FM Cabot, AR
  • KOKY Sherwood, AR
  • KKWD Bethany, OK
  • KINB Kingfisher, OK

KARN-FM in Sheridan, AR was originally on the list, but was later swapped back to Citadel for KOKY. KARN (AM) and KPZK (AM), both in Little Rock, AR, remained with Citadel even though the FM stations with those call signs were initially transferred to the trust and KPZK-FM remains there.

WCLZ is one of the first stations to be re-sold in a few months, this time to Saga Communications; though all the stations will eventually be sold off in a year.
