The Lakes, Visalia, California
The Lakes is an affluent neighborhood in the district of North Akers in west Visalia. It is bordered by the neighborhood of Marseille on the north, Akers Road on the east, Goshen Avenue on the south, and an empty lot on the west. In an effort to slow down traffic in the neighborhood, speed bumps have been installed.
This neighborhood of lavish custom homes was the first of its kind for Visalia. Still considered one of the best addresses in the area, The Lakes has nine acres of manmade waterways and lakes. The 152 quarter-acre and half-acre homesites are situated on 20 acres.
The Lakes stands alone as Visalia's only water-front community and is the most secure community in the city of Visalia.
