The Inner Circle (2005 film)

"The Inner Circle" (2005) is a touching story that explores the very real impact a woman's battle with a life-threatening illness can have on her marriage and inner circle of friends.

When Barbara (Barbara Williams), a recent breast cancer survivor, throws an intimate birthday party for her friend Jean (Beth Broderick), her husband finally speaks his mind in front of the entire dinner party. Over the course of the evening they explore the social, psychological, emotional and physical struggles Barbara's experiencing and realize that their attitudes toward sexuality need to be reassessed. Their friends' frustrations finally prompt Barbara and Jack to open up to one another AbOUT their feelings.

In the end we are shown that even in our most personal battles, there is a healing power that evolves from out network of friends and family.

Awards

2009 -- Tommy G. Warren received the prestigious EMMA Award for his Feature Film "The Inner Circle". The National Women's Political Caucus hosts the Exceptional Merit in Media Awards (EMMAs) that recognize outstanding media efforts to share information on critical issues for women's lives.

Filmed during the summer of 2002, in June, July and August. Post production was completed by June 2003 - on schedule and within budget.
