"The Incontrovertibility of Rainbows" is an anonymous literary novel set in 2048. America is battered by an endless financial crisis. Because of advances in medicine, the old are living longer and longer, selfishly ruling the country while devouring vital resources. When the Young People Party unexpectedly wins the elections, the new President enacts sweeping changes, creating anguish and opportunities for all. While this hypothetical scenario is unlikely it is certainly a possible evolution of the current state of events. Hopefully the forthcoming years will dispel this new dystopian shadow, as it happened with the one casted by George Orwell in Nineteen Eighty-Four .
