The Expectorated Sequence

The Expectorated Sequence is a music band from the Montreal area, in the half french province of Québec, Canada. The band formed in April 2002 from the ashes of the Fifth Season, Unforgiven chapter and Baitholder, three short-life hardcore bands from Longueuil, QC. the ES was first considered Grindcore though have evolved into a more epic and original kind of hardcore punk. The name of the band is often misspelled on posters and interpretated as a "succession of spit" but would actually mean a "sequence that has been banished from the mind/soul".

Historic:

In January 2003 the band appeared for the first time on stage, then recorded a 5-song demo in April. Later the same year the recording of Over the top, their debut EP/CD, took place but the material was only released a year later in September 2004, on Contempt for humanity records which was the local record shop owner's label. The band played several shows in Québec and Ontario. In September 2005 the band released their first full length album Hairbomb on label New Romance For Kids, then went on a complete Europe tour opening for American band An Albatross in February 2006.

The band recently signed on Canadian label Cyclop Media and is set to release a split 7' with band Aussitôt Mort from France and a full length album entitled the Prolonged Disaster.
