The Drone Virus
The Drone Virus is a 2004 sci-fi thriller based on the 2000 novel by the same name by Gerald Clarke. It was directed by Damon O' Steen and starred Billy Wirth.
Plot synopsis
Billy Wirth plays Stephen Roland, a man whose daughter is dying of neuroblastoma. When the girl dies after an MRI scan at St. Marks hospital, Stephan begins to suspect that the machine malfunctioned and killed his daughter.

The Drone Virus was first published in 2000 through Writers Club Press and later republished it through iUniverse. Clarke drew inspiration for the novel from his own work as an ophthalmologist and as a computer software expert. He finished the first draft within a few months, but revised the novel seven times. A reviewer for the Green Bay Press-Gazette reviewed the book favorably.
