The Crow's Nest (2007 - 2009) was a haven for young adults located at 312 Ellicott St. Batavia, NY.
Centered on the idea of an "open family," the Nest considered all who entered to be brothers and sisters. It was founded August 1, 2007 by Jared Burdick and Kyle Macey. In early 2009, however, Burdick left the nest and was replaced by Misty Stratton. The Crow's Nest ultimately was abandoned on July 29, 2009, when Macey and Stratton were pressed to move due to financial tension. During its reign, the dwelling also was the headquarters for BAM Development, a web development company founded by Burdick and Macey. It is also estimated that the Crow's Nest touched over 50 lives, tallied by the signatures on the wall of all those who visit.
