The Church of the Most Holy Trinity and Monastery of the Merciful Brothers in Skalica was built in years 1645-1650 like an evangelistic. It was given into the handes of Carmelites in 1700. There is a statue of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, which is very hallowed by the Carmelites. In the church there is a complex of 3 altars. The central altar is devoted to the Most Holy Trinity. The frescoes under the organ-loft are connected with the history of Carmelites. The picture of Last Supper, the copy of famous picture by Leonardo da Vinci, is there interesting. The Loreto chapel (one of the few chapels similar to this in Slovakia) was built according to the model from Loreto (Italy. It has the statue of Virgin Mary, which was made in Vienna. The statues were only 3. The First One decomposed, the second one burnt. The church is mostly baroque, but the organ-loft and pulpit are in Regency style from the middle of 18th century. The monastery served as hospital and pharmacy from the 19th century. The complex was kept by Merciful brother from 1797 to 1950. After expansion and extension on the design of M.M. Harminec, the monastery further serves as a hospital.
