Boost Communications AS comprises three company units: the mother company: Boost Communications AS, as well as two subsidiaries: Boostcom Media AS (51% owned by Boost Communications) and Boost Advertising AS (100% owned by Boost Communications). The headquarters is located in Trondheim, Norway with offices in Oslo, London, Amman, Dubai and Johannesburg.

The company delivers mobile web and marketing solutions to media companies, mobile operators and advertising brands.

Company history

Boost Communications AS was established in 2000 as a spinoff from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway.

In January 2005, Boost established a US subsidiary: Boost Communications Inc, which specialized in SMS messaging services for the radio and media industry in the US. In late 2006, Boost Communications became a minority shareholder of Boost Communications Inc, which later changed its name to mSnap, Inc. As of September 29, 2010, mSnap, Inc. was acquired and is now operated as a subsidiary of Marketron Broadcast Solutions, LLC.

In 2006, Boost Communications founded a new a subsidiary, Boostcom Media (formerly known as Boostcom CRM Shopping). Boostcom Media focuses on providing customer loyalty and marketing tools for Norwegian shopping centres. By 2010, Boostcom Media caters to more than 100 shopping centres and retail chains in the Norwegian market.

Boost Communications AS focuses on building the following products / services:

MOBILE CMS

Boost Mobile CMS enables building, designing and hosting of mobile sites for optimized presentation on all types of mobile devices. The administration system allows the users to control their site with access to editing tools and powerful statistics.

MADMAKER™

Madmaker™ is a do-it-yourself Mobile-Ad-Maker, allowing marketers to make their own mobile campaign sites.

SMS PLATFORM

The SMS Platform contains several different SMS sending and receiving functionalities for both one-way and two-way SMS communication services.

LIVE SPORTS PLATFORM

Boost offers a Live Football Centre for mobile internet and as iPhone / Android Apps. It also consists of a service for Live Score Alerts via text messages (SMS).

BOOST CONNECT

A user-friendly tool for customer relationship management and e-mail marketing, text messages (SMS) and MMS.

EXTERNAL SENDER / RECEIVER

External Sender allows companies to send SMS directly from their own software systems, without having to operate the SMS platform themselves.
