The Berinfell Prophecies

The Berinfell Prophecies is a series co-authored by authors Wayne Thomas Batson and Christopher Hopper.

Co-Authoring

Christopher Hopper and Wayne Thomas Batson met in 2006 at the Red Lion Inn in Denver.1 As fellow Christian fantasy authors, they struck up a friendship and later decided to co-author The Berinfell Prophecies together. Via instant messaging and some in-person conferences, 2 they communicated and refined their story IDeaS.

Curse of the Spider King

Curse of the Spider King is the first book of the Berinfell series. Published on November 3, 2009, it peaked at 449 on Amazon's bestseller list.

Brief Summary

Seven seemingly-ordinary teenagers in our world are suddenly faced with the unthinkable truth that they are endowed with special powers and are really Elven Lords from Allyra, an alternate reality. Sentinels from Allyra disguise themselves as librarians and teachers on Earth, attempt to find the Seven and bring them back to their true homeland.

But the Sentinels are not the only ones seeking the teenagers. The Spider King, the tyrant conqueror of Allyra, has sent his haunting assassins to Earth to slay the Seven. The Seven Lords battle to survive the Spider King's wrath and return to Allyra, their elven home.

Venom and Song

Venom and Song will be published on August 17, 2010, as the second book in the Berinfell Prophecies Series. In a 3 post on his blog, Wayne Thomas Batson asked fans to help choose between the titles "Fall of the Seven" or "Venom and Song" for this book. The later choice won by majority.
