The Anime Fanlistings Network
The Anime Fanlistings Network is a directory of strictly anime and manga related fanlistings with over 7,000 approved fanlistings listed at their site. Topics for fanlistings can be anything from songs, items, locations, or people, but they must be featured in a manga or anime (comics or animation of Japanese origin.) Comics and animation from other countries are listed at The Fanlistings Network. Other anime/manga topics that are also listed at The Fanlistings Network include seiyuu and music from dubbed anime.
All anime and manga fanlisting were previously listed at The Fanlistings Network until September 26th, 2004 when, due to the large number of listings in the Anime/Manga category, all anime and manga related fanlistings were moved to AnimeFanlistings.org.
History
The idea for a separate network listing strictly anime and manga fanlistings (animation and comics of Japanese origin) came AbOUT in April of 2004 by The Fanlistings Network's senior staffers of the time. Out of the various categories of The Fanlistings Network, the Anime/Manga category was growing at a rather fast rate. The staffers of The Fanlistings Network at the time also felt unqualified to make decisions about the anime and manga fanlistings because the Anime/Manga category was so specialized. In April of 2004, the senior staffers of The Fanlistings Network approached Danielle, an Anime/Manga category staffer at the time, to create the network that is known as The Anime Fanlistings Network today. On September 26th, 2004, The Anime Fanlistings Network was opened, and all anime and manga fanlistings were moved to The New site.

Category Staffers
{{ see also|The Fanlistings Network }}
The category staffers maintain the specific categories of The Anime Fanlistings Network. They handle approving and rejecting of applications for topics, answer questions concerning topics, staff the "troubles lists", and process information changes.
As of December 2nd, 2007, there are 12 category staffers, from many different countries. Some may staff more than one category.
Trouble Checkers
{{ see also|The Fanlistings Network }}
Trouble checkers are volunteers who dedicate time to checking fanlistings for things that could possibly land them "in trouble", and possibly get them removed from the network. If a fanlisting is placed on the troubles list(s), the fanlisting May Be removed from the network, and thus open for application, if the owner of the troubled fanlisting does not fix the issue. Trouble checkers check each and every fanlisting to make sure they are following the Anime Fanlisting Network's rules and to see if they are remaining updated and current.
As of December 2nd, 2007, there are 29 trouble checkers.
