Terry McKenzie

Terry McKenzie (born March 23, 1982 in East Orange, New Jersey, U.S.) is a former American professional basketball player. McKenzie primarily plays the small forward or shooting guard position.

Basketball career

High school

McKenzie graduated from Bloomfield High School in 2000.

College

McKenzie attended college at the Bloomfield College in Bloomfield, New Jersey.

Professional

McKenzie had a unsuccessful NBA pre-draft workout with the Indiana Pacers and NBDL team Fort Wayne Mad Ants. His try-out with Indiana was cut short when he tore his gastrocnemius muscle. He signed with the Melbourne Tigers in 2002 where he played 2 seasons (73) games in the NBL, and amassed a total of 517 rebounds, 437 assist, 121 blocks, 96 steals and 1,875 points with a (25.6) points per game average.

Personal

Due to injuries Terry McKenzie only played two seasons for the Melbourne Tigers in Australia (2003-2005). He moved back to the United States to pursue a career in business, and currently resides in Durham, NC.
