Tej (actor)

'Tej' (born June 7, 1985) is an Indian film actor, who has primarily starred in Tamil and Kannada films, and occasionally works as a screenplay writer. After completing his Master of Business Management in Europe from a leading university, Tej chose to work in film and worked as a software engineer in Infosys Technologies before making his acting debut in the film Tamil by KT Kunjomon, who introduced Director Shankar, PrabhuDeva, Sushmita Sen and also AR Rehman who made it big through KT Kunjomon in his initial days. In his subsequent years, he has worked in Tamil films and Kannada films. He has acted in many films such as Meese Chiguridaga, Kadhalukku Maranam Illai, Konjam veyil Konjam Mazhai, Gaantham, and Kappal.

Personal life

Tej was born in Devanahalli, a small town in Bangalore. He completed his schooling at St. Josephs. After completing his Engineering in Information Technology, he worked at Infosys Technologies and later received a master's degree in Supply Chain from a European university.

Career

Tej, during his graduation, debuted in the film Kannada in 2004. Meese Chiguridaga, in which actor Dr. Raj Kumar, has written a song AbOUT and Tej won a huge appreciation for his performance from the media, leading newspaper Kannadaprabha even thanked the director for introducing Tej into Kannada films. In 2009, Tej made his film debut as the leading man in the film Kadhalukku Maranam Illai, which was produced by KT Kunjomon. His performance in the film earned him a place in Kollywood and got him films like Konjam Veyil Konjam Mazhai even before the first film got released. Later, Tej produced a film, Gaantham, which also penned story and screenplay.

Currently, Tej is working on the movie Kappal directed by Gopal.
