Tanja7 (in ) is an independent online newspaper based in Tangier, Morocco. Launched in 2013, it is one of the most visited news websites in Morocco, particularly in the northern region.

The website covers local and regional news (especially the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region), as well as national and international news, sports, economy, and culture. It is available in four languages: Arabic (primary), French, English, and Spanish. As of October 2025, tanja7.com receives approximately 230,000 monthly visits, ranking #112 in Morocco and among the top 50 news websites in the country. Tanja7 has a strong presence on social media, with its official Facebook page followed by over 1.7 million people and its X account (@Tanja7com ) by nearly 20,000 users as of December 2025.It also maintains an Instagram account with over 277,000 followers.

History

Tanja7 was established in 2013 as an independent electronic newspaper based in Tangier, succeeding a former print publication known as "Sahafat Al-Yawm" (Journalism Today). It quickly developed into a primary source for news in northern Morocco, focusing on regional developments while expanding to broader national and international coverage.
