Talent Management Software:

A Talent Management Software is a software used by Human Resource Department Of an organization to track the performance and productivity of its employees. Other synonyms for a Talent Management Software are Performance Management Software, Human Resource Management Software etc.

However, a Talent Management Software differs from its synonyms in terms of functions. A talent management software is primarily for helping companies to recognize and nourish employees in the organization. The four necessary functions of a talent management system are:

1. Goal Setting and Tracking 2. Organizational alignment 3. Performance Appraisal 4. Training and Development Programs

1. Goal Setting and Tracking Every talent management initiative starts with setting goals for the organization. The goals are usually set first for the top management like, CEOs, Department Heads etc. Top management's goals makes the basis for managers' and employees' goals. Each employee is responsible for achieving his/her goal by end of a stipulated period.

2. Organizational alignment The goals are then cascaded to the lower level of employees like managers, supervisor or line workers. These goals are SMART smart goals.

Organizational alignment is a strategic HR process which enables all employees to contribute to the accomplishment of Corporate Objectives.This module works as an interface between employee performance & organizational performance.

3. Performance Appraisal At the end of the year/ six months, the achievement of the employees are measured against the targets. The employee who have achieved ot overachieved the goals are rewarded, while those who could not achieve are provided suitable training to improve their performance.

4. Training and Development Programs

Training and Development programs are designed to enhance or improve skills, knowledge and talent of employees.
