Take Flight, LLC is a clothing brand founded in 2008 in Portland, Oregon that makes custom apparel for fans and practitioners of Parkour all around the world. The creation of this company contributed to the growth of Parkour worldwide.

Athletes

The company is currently endorsed by athletes including David Belle., Pavel Petkuns, and Shaun Wood. Take Flight has a team know simply as the Flow Team. They also have an International Team who sponsor the label. Members of the Take Flight Pro team consist of Ruslan Dzhavadov, age 23, Pavel “Pasha” Petkuns, age 20, and Shaun Wood, age 24. Take Flight also endorses younger and less expireienced athletes known as the Street Team. This team consists of athletes like Keegan Swirbul.

Controversy

A recent controversy that sprung up about Take Flight involved their public connection to David Belle where many believed the company was impersonating Belle for marketing reasons. This was due in part to information suggesting that Belle's website was hosted on Take Flight's hosting account. The connection between Belle and Take Flight has yet to be publicly commented on by the company although a picture of David Belle and Take Flight founder Adam Dunlap was posted on Belle's Facebook page. The picture along with the accompanying text suggested that Belle is involved with Take Flight as the company, and as David's website claims.

Apparel and products

Take Flight is famous for its classic Parkour tees, however they are notable for there sweatshirts and sweatpants as well as their tee-shirts. The company also has non clothing merchandise such as Movies, DVD's, Books and Posters. The company uses elaborate quotes like the " Flow Like water" on many tee- shirts to allow the traceurs, or practitioners of Parkour to express there different styles and views about Parkour. Take Flight is constantly coming out with new products and increasing the Parkour population across the world.

TakeFlightApparel is the company's channel where they post videos of their fans doing Parkour wearing their apparel. So far they have released almost 40 videos.

David Belle - A History of Parkour

David Belle a student of both martial arts and gymnastics combined the teachings of his father and his own personal serach to create Parkour in the early 1990s. Eventually Belle and his friends such as Sebastien Foucan started training this sport and popularized it across the world. Now after more than 25 years of training, David Belle has been an inspiration to many of his fans and has currently started endorsing TakeFlight as the official clothing of Parkour. David Belle also has his own website called DavidBelle.com
