Taipei Base Design Center

Taipei Base Design Center (TBDC) is an interior design company that preparatory from 1997 to finally establish in 2002 at Taipei City, Taiwan by Taiwanese designer Janus Huang. The main services they provide are including interior space design, architecture space design, media / visual design, restaurant management consultant and company image design / consultant. Besides setting headquarter in Taiwan, several branch offices have been set up in Shanghai, Beijing and Qingdao and the contacts in New York and Milan along with the increasing clients worldwide. TBDC is the first company in Taiwan who received the Red Dot Design Award (2007) and then be invited to become iF International Forum Design member (No.238). Many projects of them have been published by several European / American magazines. In addition, this company has been developing some projects in different aspects, for instance, consistently donation to the World Vision and funds for the elementary school lunch in rural area such kind of charity activities.

“The first to meet the functionality, before considering the style presented.“ which is the most important design concepts of Taipei Base Design Center. The CEO of this company believes that everything should be given priority to start thinking from the user point of view and could solve the specific problem then. Designers always work in a variety of scientific data required to calculate the required user life, not only to solve user problems in functionality by means of their expertise skills, also can create a better life solution with their talented / trained aesthetic sense. Considering the plenty of living environment differences between Asia, Europe and America, the natural spatial scale and design operations would not be the same. Thus, TBDC would like to combine their professional design thinking and long-term accumulation of sensory experience with unique Asian aesthetic sense, in order to propose a better design of output solutions to service for the user's life.

Future Prospect

Taipei-based TBDC would like to continuing to provide the professional design consultation/service. Moreover, they has stated that planning to venture upon a new undertaking by communicating and cooperating with a variety of cultural design industry professionals. They aim to present a new life attitude to the public in Asia first and forward worldwide.
