Tafi Dube

His voice is strong, gentle and seductive, sounds as if plucked out of Don Williams throat and that is why the locals of Bulawayo call him “Don Williams”. That is what most people call him in Zimbabwe. Born in 1957, Tafi Dube has been playing Country music in the streets of Bulawayo city centre for years. He is an Artist who plays music on pavements with the hope that those who are moved by his songs and talent will find it easy to throw a few alms into his plate. Most of the people who give alms to this man do so not because of pity but as a way of appreciating his talent, his music. In December 2008 Tafi Dube released his debut album entitled Listen the Words I say. The CD is a lovers package. Soulful ballards that touch the heart. The album was also released in Austria, Germany and Switzerland and was produced by Ramadu.
