SUMMERSET OF BRENTWOOD is an adult community located in the city of Brentwood, California available to people over the age of 55. The age restriction applies only to residents, (at least one member of the family must be 55 or older). Children and grandchildren are always allowed visitors. It has four phases with home construction starting in the initial phase in 1994 and ending circa 2003 in phase four. There are over 2000 homes with some variation in the number of homes in each phase. Each phase has its own Home Owner's Association, Social Center with swimming pool. tennis and bocce ball courts and other recreational amenities as desired by the resident's themselves. The development is situated around a 27 hole championship golf course that includes a convenient restaurant called the Nines. There are also three other 18 hole golf courses within a two mile radius.
