Sum 41's fifth studio album

Sum 41's follow up of Chuck as of yet untitled, fifth studio album will be that band's first album without guitarist Dave Baksh, the album will be released under the Island Records label, it will be distributed worldwide by Universal Records and in Canada by Aquarius Records. The album release date is planned to be during the summer of 2007, as bassist Jason McCaslin stated.

The album MusicAL style will be in the trend of the first two LPs of the band, All Killer No Filler and Does This Look Infected? but will also contain influence of their later music found in Chuck. The band will record 19-20 Songs, and the album will contain from 12 to 14 tracks, the rest will be released as b-sides, and as drummer Steve Jocz confirmed, a few songs may not be in 4/4 time.

The album recording started Novermber 6th, 2006 as is announced in their MySpace:

On a recent MTV interview Deryck said that "We realized that we needed to be a band again. Because ever since All Killer, No Filler, we honestly weren't a band. We were a machine." and later stated that "We're drawing from everything we did well on All Killer and Does This Look Infected? and not so much from Chuck".

Almost every information regarding the album has been released through the Sum 41 Question & Answer section in their website.
