Stratford Schools


Stratford Schools is a school chain in Northern California. It was founded by Matthew Wulfstat and Sherry Adams. The school colors are white, navy blue, and maroon.

Curriculum

Stratford Schools teach many subjects. Physical education and music are added to the academics. Music begins in preschool, while physical education begins in kindergarten. Subjects taught are history, geography, art, mathematics, and grammar. Homework begins to become heavier in the fourth grade, with a math textbook. A grammar textbook, and a history textbook is added in the fifth grade. In sixth grade, a science textbook and Spanish textbook are added. From the first grade, the students begin to read books in class - part of literature - on which they are tested. In the fifth grade, they must write essays. They learn AbOUT two/three point paragraphs in second grade itself. History- Math-Saxon Math Grammar- Write Right Comp. - Five Par. Essays

Extracurricular

Students are able to participate in student government beginning in the third grade. The third grade does not have many things to run for, as class representative is the only position. In fourth grade, students are allowed to be candidates as secretary, vice president, and representative as well. In fifth grade, the students may run for class representative, vice president, secretary, and president. In sixth grade, there is an option of running for treasurer, too. Once in middle school, students can join many clubs.
