Stéphane Tortajada

Stéphane Tortajada was born on 11 October 1972 in Nice (France), and is Group Head of Finance & Investments of EDF since 2010.

Biography

Stéphane Tortajada is an engineer, graduate from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and a post-graduate in Corporate Finance and International Capital Markets from IEP Paris. He is also a chartered member of the SFAF (French Society of Financial Analysts).

He began his career in M&A at HSBC in 1997. Three years later, he joined Lazard where he became Executive Director in 2005.

From 2008 until 2010, he was Managing Director of Casino Développement, in charge of Development and Real Estate for the Casino Group worldwide. During this period, Stéphane Tortajada was a board member of the listed Thai Big C and a member of the Supervisory Board of DTC Finance.

In 2010 Stéphane Tortajada was appointed Group Head of Finance & Investments at EDF. He is also board member of the BRITISH ENERGY GROUP Plc, EDF Trading, EDF Energies Nouvelles, EDF International, chairman of SOFILO, GGF and EDEV and a member of the Supervisory Board of Dalkia Holding.
