'''Stocks McGuire''' is an American rapper born and raised in New York City. Influenced at a young age by [[jazz]] and [[soul]] music, by age 13 he started writing lyrics. In 1994 Stocks was introduced to Death Row producer Sam Sneed in New York who brought him to LA to work on his own solo album. Stocks left Death Row with Dr Dre to work at Aftermath where he collaborated on various platinum hits, including several songs on Dr Dre’s up coming album
Stocks co-wrote platinum hits with [[Dr Dre]] including The Grammy Award winning song “No Diggity” [[Blackstreet]]. In May 1998, Stocks received BMI’s Certificate of Achievement in 1997 for the platinum album single No Diggity on the Blackstreet Album.
Stocks has also collaborated with a rappers such as [[Nas]], [[Foxy Brown]], AZ, and Nature (The Firm), Scarface, (Hand On) & “Intro-Aftermath” Dr. Dre ([[Aftermath]]), Puppetmaster (Soul Assassin) and Zoom from the Bulworth movie soundtrack.
