Stevie Mack

Stevie Mack, (born Steven J. McAllister - November 21, 1963) is a native of Los Angeles California. The third of six children, Stevie Mack was a child prodigy at an early age. With an IQ 132 he found elementary school work boring and couldn't play checkers but mastered the game of chess. He began playing MusicAL INSTRUMENTS as early as the third grade, where he started on the clarinet, and quickly moved on to learn the drums, piano, guitar, flute and saxophone.

1970's - Although music was his first love, motion pictures took hold of him by age 10, when he made his first movie on a Kodak Brownie 8mm film camera. By age 12 he attended the Young Saints Academy where he studied singing, acting and choreography, performed in live shows and plays throughout Los Angeles and Hollywood, CA.

1980's - Stevie Mack began writing plays and instructional videos for New Wavelength Productions where he produced a series of self defense videos and toured as a a martial arts instructor/performer with United Dragon Brothers (UDB until they disbanned as UDB and joined forces with the Black Karate Federation (BKF) to compete in international martial arts tournaments.

1990-1992 Stevie Mack wrote/produced/directed and performed in B.A.D.D. Productions, a live show featuring a unique before and after fashion show, inspirational poetry, uplifting songs and comedy with a positive message. Performing in these shows is where he began to hone his skills as a comedian.

In September of 1992 Comedian Stevie Mack made his stand up comedy debut at the world famous Comedy Store on Sunset in Hollywood, California. He went on to Appear on BET, UPN, Sci Fi Channel, VH1, SpikeTV and Pay Per View.

He was hired to teach comedy as Theater Director at NBLIC/Charles Drew University, where he wrote and directed the award winning play, "Smoke Free society", an hilarious hip hop comedy AbOUT the perils of smoking cigarettes and how the tobacco industry specifically target Black people and young people. The play toured colleges, major venues and by request, the state capitol, where he was awarded by the California State Assembly for improving the lives of millions.

1993-1996 Stevie Mack attended film school at LACC where he mastered the craft of TV and Film producton and minored in philosophy. He later studied film, TV and philosophy at USC, taught non-linear editing at LACC.

1997-1998 Stevie Mack was a comedy writer on the Keenan Ivory Wayans Show on Fox TV. He wrote and directed the skateboard action movie Grinders. He was Director of Club 14 TV in Monterey Park, CA where he wrote, produced and directed the hit TV show, Club Beat for Charter Communications.

2004 - he simultaneoulsy released his first DVD, "The Stevie Mack Experiance Vol. 1" and his music CD, "Winter Madness". Both the DVD and the music CD were met with wide acclaim and made M2M Magazine's top 10 list of all time favorite DVD's and CD's.
