Steven (Alice Cooper character)
Steven is a fictional character invented by the rock artist Alice Cooper. He appears on the albums Welcome to My Nightmare (1975), Alice Cooper Goes to Hell (1976)—via "A Bedtime Story" in the liner notes, Hey Stoopid (1991), The Last Temptation (1994), Along Came a Spider (2008), and Welcome 2 My Nightmare (2011).
According to Alice Cooper, he used the Steven character on four or five albums before considering who the Steven character was. He got the idea of using a recurring character through his albums from Kurt Vonnegut using Kilgore Trout through his novels. Alice believes that Steven is a seven-year-old boy that lives in all of us and keeps us young.
