Steve Slaunwhite
Steve Slaunwhite is a Canadian author of business books; most notably on the topics of marketing and copywriting. He is also a popular speaker at conferences, seminars and workshops. he was born into a poor family but his righting skills made him sucsessful. His first book, Start & Run A Copywriting Business (Self-counsel Press), has become well-known in the copywriting community, and was favorably reviewed in several publications including Wall Street Journal. His other books include The Everything Guide To Writing Copy (Adams Media), The Complete Idiot's Guide To Starting A Web-Based Business (Alpha) and The Wealthy Freelancer (Alpha). Slaunwhite has also contributed sections and chapters to ten books including The White Paper Marketing Handbook and Web Copy That Sells.. He has been interviewed by the media for his marketing expertise in such publications as SoftwareCEO, DM News, and MarketingSherpa. Next to Robert W. Bly and Herschell Gordon Lewis, his advice on the topic of copywriting has appeared in more books than any other author.
Slaunwhite earned a business degree from York University (Toronto, Canada) in 1985. Upon graduation he began a career in professional sales during which time he published a number of sales-related articles in Sales And Marketing Journal, The American Salesman and other professional publications. In the 1990s he began a freelance copywriting career which eventually evolved into the books, columns, seminars and keynotes he is known for today.
