KORDA J. STEVAN, a.k.a. Steve. Born: May 15.,1926. - Valpovo (Walpach), Croatia. Died: Dec. 23.,2006. - Zemun (Semlin), Serbia. Occupation: Yugoslav military officer, commentator and journalist.
STEVAN Steve KORDA was notable Yugoslav (SFRY) journalist, military and political commentator, popularizer of science and (as such) renowned debunker of UFO and other paranormal phenomena. Although wrote SF stories. Served during Second World War (1944.-1945.) in the ranks of Tito's Yugoslav Liberation Army as sergeant (zastavnik) in 2. Armored Brigade. Throughout his professional career he worked for the official YNA (Yugoslav National Army) weekly FRONT (as editor-in-chief), NARODNA ARMIJA daily and numerous Yugoslav papers & magazines (POLITIKA, VIJESNIK, NIN, START, GLAS SLAVONIJE, AEROMAGAZIN, ASTRONOMIJA, GALAKSIJA). One of the founders of monthly ASTRONOMIJA (Astronomy) and astronomical society 'RUDJER BOŠKOVIĆ' in Beograd, Yugoslavia (now Serbia). His articles had been translated in U.S 'MILITARY REVIEW' ('Strategic weaknesses of the Soviet bloc' - May, 1953.) and U.S. 'ARMOUR' ('T-72 Main battle tank' - June, 1977.). He retired in 1985. with a rank of YNA colonel.
