Startup World Cup Bangladesh
Startup World Cup Bangladesh is the Bangladesh regional EDition of Startup World Cup, an international startup competition organized by Pegasus Tech Ventures, a Silicon Valley–based venture capital firm. The competition serves as a platform for startups in Bangladesh to compete for qualification to the global finals held in San Francisco, California, United States.
Startup World Cup organizes regional competitions in more than 100 countries and regions worldwide, with selected winners advancing to the global championship.
History
The Bangladesh edition of Startup World Cup was launched in 2020 as part of broader efforts to expand the country's startup ecosystem and connect local entrepreneurs with international investors. The inaugural activities received national media coverage and coincided with the launch of "Vision 2025", an initiative aimed at developing a US$10 billion startup market in Bangladesh.
2025 competition
The 2025 Bangladesh regional competition was held on 14 August 2025 at Daffodil International University in Dhaka. The event featured participation from startups representing multiple sectors of the country's technology and innovation ecosystem.
At the event, Robo Life, a Bangladesh-based robotics and education technology startup, was declared the winner of the national round and qualified to represent Bangladesh at the global finals of Startup World Cup.
Significance
Startup World Cup Bangladesh has been described as part of the growing startup ecosystem in Bangladesh, providing local entrepreneurs with access to international investment networks, mentorship opportunities, and global market exposure.
